Day 1 – General Butler State Park – Kentucky

We stopped here for the night and were lucky to get a spot. This large lovely State Park on the Ohio River is full because of an annual Halloween Festival. Campers come and decorate their sites (and I mean decorate). There is a decoration contest tomorrow and then trick or treating for all the children. The place is amazing. It’s a low light photographer’s dream – and nobody is shy. Everyone welcomes the camera’s intrusion.  Slideshow below with more explanations in the captions. My favourite? The farting skeleton in the coffin. Enjoy.
